Privacy
Privacy policy
DataRoses Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales and is subject to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This page explains what data we collect on dataroses.com, how it is used, and your rights as a visitor.
Data we collect
- Analytics. Aggregated, anonymous traffic data (page views, country, referrer, device type) collected through Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track visitors across sites.
- Enquiry form. When you submit the enquiry form, the information you provide (name, work email, website, monthly advertising budget, desired outcome, and any UTM parameters from the URL) is delivered to us by email through Formsubmit, a form-forwarding service. The data is sent to us; it is not stored in a third-party database or used for marketing by Formsubmit.
- Advertising measurement. We use the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel to measure whether our advertising in ChatGPT leads to visits, enquiries, and booking-link clicks. See “Advertising measurement” below for what it records and how to opt out.
- Call scheduling. If you book a call through our scheduling provider (Calendly), the details you enter there (name, email, chosen time) are processed by Calendly to create the booking, under Calendly’s own privacy terms.
How we use it
We use analytics data to understand which content is useful and how the site performs. We use enquiry-form and call-booking data only to respond to you and, where applicable, to deliver an engagement.
Advertising measurement
To understand whether our ChatGPT advertising works, our pages load the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel (a script served by OpenAI). Subject to your consent where required (see below), it sends OpenAI the following events: a page view when a page loads, an enquiry submitted event when the enquiry form has been accepted, and a booking link clicked event when you click a “Book a 15-minute fit call” button. Each event carries the page address, a timestamp, technical information about your browser and device, and, if you arrived from an ad in ChatGPT, a privacy-preserving click identifier (oppref) that OpenAI appends to the link and the pixel stores in a first-party cookie named __oppref. The events never include what you typed into the enquiry form, your name, your email address, or any other personal details you give us, and we do not use OpenAI’s advanced-matching features. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Your choices. If you appear to be visiting from the UK or the EU, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel is loaded with consent switched off and sends no measurement events until you accept the measurement notice; declining keeps it off. Elsewhere, measurement is on by default. In every case you can change your choice at any time through the “Privacy choices” link in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (dr_consent). Blocking the pixel does not affect the enquiry form or the booking links.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors that help us operate the site (hosting, analytics, scheduling, and advertising measurement as described above), under contracts that comply with GDPR.
Retention
Aggregated analytics data is retained indefinitely. Personal data from emails, the enquiry form, and call bookings is retained for as long as needed to respond and serve the engagement, then deleted on request.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing saad@getdataroses.com or through the enquiry form on the homepage. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless. The OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel described above may set one first-party cookie, __oppref, holding the ad click identifier, and your consent choice is kept in local storage as dr_consent. Where consent is required we ask for it in an explicit banner before any measurement takes place; you can withdraw it at any time via “Privacy choices” in the footer.
